Over time, your Smart Previews can grow to many Gigabytes, so it’s good practice to prune them every now and again. Smart Previews are much smaller than original photos, meaning that as long as you set up your Lightroom Develop module to work from them (rather than from the full size RAWs), your post production will be much snappier.
